Quitting Tobacco

The Drug Free Rogers-Lowell Tobacco Prevention Program can assist Benton County residents in finding cessation (quitting) programs that work. The Tobacco Prevention Program also provides prevention education to people of all ages, especially children, who are targeted by the tobacco companies.

There are a wide variety of cessation resources, programs and support groups in Northwest Arkansas, as well as options for individuals. These include programs by the American Lung Association, American Cancer Society, local health organizations and the Arkansas Tobacco QuitLine at 1-800-784-8669, or click the link “Click To Call” at the bottom of this page. The call is confidential and free.

When tobacco users call the Arkansas Tobacco QuitLine they’ll receive non-judgmental expert support from a QuitCoach®. The QuitLine can provide free cessation aids (while supplies last) and will customize individual quitting plans.

The Arkansas Tobacco QuitLine is available seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. Services are available in English, Spanish, Marshallese and others.

QuitLine is operated by Free & Clear, Inc., which has over 20 years’ experience in phone-based counseling. Free & Clear’s Quit For Life® Program is the nation’s leading tobacco cessation program.
